If you are interested in modern cartoons with a classic style a-la Edward Gorey, then you should totally check out illustrator Phil McAndrew's blog Marvelous Mustache Factory. I've been following this gentleman's work for some time (it's NOT because he lives only and hour away from me). The man is a serious talent and I don't know why his illustrations aren't on every humorous book cover. Hell, he should be a regular contributor to the New Yorker. MAKE IT SO!
