I finally took some time to draw some more superheroes. Using primarily handheld tools such as pencils, pens and markers, I've made something I am genuinely fond of. I've been sketching away and I just couldn't stop inking and coloring. I just bought this new pen tonight. Trying it out here on this ALSO new 6X6 Bristol paper. The pen is a Pentel .3mm hybrid something-or-other. It falls somewhere in between a mechanical drawing pen and a ball point. Sorta rough, but kinda smooth. The only thing I like about it is that it slows me down while I draw. I met this illustrator, Brian Gubicza (pronounced GOOBEETSA) at the Squidfire Art Mart in Baltimore this weekend. Way cool stuff and a pretty rad dude. I primarily liked the plushies his wife crafted from his drawings; which can be seen HERE. Crafty couples are cool.
